Privacy Policy

This Policy explains what Ally may collect, why we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

Updated October 31, 2026

1. Who is responsible for the service

Ally is a service operated by Amity Platforms, Inc., a Delaware corporation. In this Policy, “Ally,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Amity Platforms, Inc. as the operator of allyfor.me and the Ally service.

If the service is later transferred to or operated by a legal entity, this Policy may be updated to identify that entity.

2. Information we may collect

Information you provide

  • account information, such as email address, password credentials handled through our authentication provider, and account identifiers;
  • mobile phone number for account verification, its verification status, SMS opt-in and opt-out status, consent timestamps, and text messages you exchange with Ally if you choose conversational SMS;
  • goals, requests, messages, preferences, availability, constraints, and other information you enter into Ally;
  • profile information, such as your name, location, résumé or background, GitHub or LinkedIn links, and other context you choose to provide;
  • company or project information, including a desired outcome, scope, timing, budget, requirements, and contact information; and
  • feedback, support requests, and communications with us.

Information we may obtain from public or third-party sources

When relevant to a request, Ally may use public information or information from services you point us to, such as public professional profiles, company websites, project pages, job postings, research pages, GitHub, or other publicly accessible sources.

Technical information

We and our service providers may receive technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, authentication events, error logs, rate-limit data, and basic usage information needed to operate and secure the service.

Ally estimates your approximate city from your internet connection by default to rank relevant public profiles for work and introductions. The estimate can be wrong, especially with VPNs, and is not saved to your profile. You can turn it off in the chat. Precise device location requires separate browser permission and is not accessed automatically.

3. How we use information

We may use information to:

  • understand your goals, preferences, constraints, or company needs;
  • search for, rank, evaluate, and recommend people and opportunities;
  • create summaries or task briefs that help us operate the matching process;
  • contact you about potential matches, account activity, support, or security;
  • send one-time account verification texts, verify control of a unique phone number for a registered account, and send and respond to conversational SMS messages only when you have separately opted in;
  • maintain continuity across sessions and remember context you choose to save;
  • detect abuse, enforce limits, troubleshoot errors, and protect the service;
  • evaluate and improve product quality, matching quality, and reliability; and
  • comply with law and respond to valid legal requests.

We aim to collect and use only information reasonably related to operating Ally and improving the service.

Personal Ally addresses and invitations: If someone uses your personal Ally address, we collect the name, reply email address, message, and submission time that they provide. We make this information available privately to the recipient's Ally inbox. Sender email addresses are not automatically verified. Private invitation links may reveal only the request summary approved for sharing, and invite recipients may accept or decline. These requests are not public posts. Do not submit sensitive information about someone else without permission.

4. How matching works with your privacy

Ally is designed to evaluate a potential fit before broadly revealing who you are. We may use a goal description, project brief, skills, preferences, or other limited context to determine whether another person or company may be relevant.

We aim not to reveal your identity or direct contact information to a potential match until an introduction is appropriate and both sides want it. There may be situations where contextual details are inherently identifying, so do not submit information you would not want used for matching.

During the beta, authorized human operators may assist with research, matching, outreach, support, safety, or project coordination. We may provide those operators with task briefs, summaries, or limited account context reasonably necessary to perform that work.

5. When we may share information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

  • Potential matches. We may share limited information needed to evaluate a possible match or introduction.
  • Service providers. We may use vendors that provide hosting, databases, authentication, communications, analytics, search, artificial intelligence, or security services.
  • Human operators or contractors. Authorized people may receive information reasonably necessary to operate or support the beta.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or defend the service.
  • Business transition. If Amity Platforms, Inc. is financed, reorganized, acquired, or its Ally service is transferred, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.

As of the Effective Date, Ally does not operate a third-party advertising marketplace and does not sell personal information for money.

6. Artificial intelligence and third-party processing

Ally may send portions of your requests, profile context, task briefs, or other relevant information to AI and infrastructure providers in order to generate responses, search for matches, summarize information, classify requests, or operate the service.

Those providers process data under their own contractual terms, privacy commitments, and security controls. We try to use business or API products and settings appropriate for private application data where available, but no internet service can guarantee absolute confidentiality or security.

Ally may also use search, communications, hosting, and database providers that process data on our behalf to deliver the service.

7. Retention and security

We may retain account, conversation, matching, and operational information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account continuity, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect security, and satisfy legal obligations.

We may retain limited security, audit, or legal records after account deletion when reasonably necessary and permitted by law.

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, including access controls and managed infrastructure. However, no system is perfectly secure, and you should avoid submitting highly sensitive information unless it is genuinely necessary.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You may choose not to provide optional profile information. Some information is necessary for account access, matching, security, or communication.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with your account. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights regarding access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, restriction, or appeal.

To make a privacy request, use the contact method available within Ally or reply to an email you receive from Ally and identify the request as a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

9. Minors

Ally is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are below the age at which you can independently consent to the service where you live, use Ally only with appropriate parent or guardian permission.

10. SMS messaging privacy

To create a registered Ally account, we ask you to verify control of your mobile number using a short-lived SMS code. We use the verified number to protect accounts and limit reuse across registered accounts. Verification alone does not enroll you in recurring messages or marketing texts.

If you separately opt in to conversational Ally text messages, we may use your mobile number, consent status, message history, and related delivery information to provide that SMS service, respond to you, send requested updates, troubleshoot delivery, and maintain opt-out records.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may provide information to communications vendors solely as needed to deliver and operate the SMS service on our behalf.

You can opt out of Ally texts at any time by replying STOP. You can request help by replying HELP.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy as Ally changes. The effective date at the top of the page will be updated when we make changes. For material changes, we may provide notice through the service or by another reasonable method.

Questions or privacy requests may be sent through the contact method provided within the Ally service or by replying to an email you receive from Ally. A dedicated privacy contact address may be added as the project develops.
