Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of allyfor.me and the Ally service.

Updated October 31, 2026

1. Who operates Ally

Ally is a service operated by Amity Platforms, Inc., a Delaware corporation. In these Terms, “Ally,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Amity Platforms, Inc. as the operator of allyfor.me and the Ally service.

If the service is later transferred to or operated by a legal entity, these Terms may be assigned to that entity as part of the transition, subject to applicable law.

2. What Ally does

Ally is a private opportunity and matching service. Users can describe goals, projects, needs, or outcomes, and Ally may search for or recommend people, companies, projects, jobs, research opportunities, collaborators, customers, grants, mentors, cofounders, or other possible next steps.

Ally may use software, artificial intelligence, public information, third-party services, and human assistance to understand requests and identify potential matches.

Ally is not a job board, employer, staffing employer of record, escrow provider, law firm, financial adviser, or party to an agreement between users unless we expressly agree otherwise in a separate written agreement.

3. Accounts and eligibility

Registered Ally accounts require a verified email address, a unique verified mobile number, and a name. You may maintain only one registered account for yourself, may not share your login credentials or account with anyone else, and may not create accounts for other people without authorization. Temporary guest sessions are not verified accounts. Verification can establish control of contact information but cannot independently prove a person's legal identity.

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You may not impersonate another person or use the service if doing so would violate applicable law.

If you are below the age at which you can enter a binding contract where you live, you may use Ally only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

We may suspend or restrict an account when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law, or protect the service.

4. Matches, recommendations, and introductions

Ally provides possible matches and opportunities, not guarantees. A recommendation does not mean that a person, company, role, project, opportunity, compensation amount, or other fact has been independently verified unless we explicitly say so.

You are responsible for evaluating any person or opportunity before relying on it, sharing sensitive information, entering an agreement, paying or accepting money, traveling, performing work, or making any other commitment.

Where practical, Ally may keep a user’s identity private while evaluating a potential match. An introduction may still require limited information to be shared with the other side. We describe our data practices in the Privacy Policy.

5. Commercial introductions, projects, and compensation

Companies may use Ally to describe a result they want completed and to identify people or teams who may be able to perform the work. Unless a separate agreement says otherwise, Ally does not employ the people it introduces, supervise their work, guarantee delivery, or determine their employment or contractor status.

Any project fee, success fee, bounty, recruiting fee, compensation, scope of work, ownership of work product, confidentiality obligation, payment timing, or other commercial term must be agreed separately by the relevant parties. Nothing on this website by itself creates an obligation to pay or accept a specific fee.

Commercial non-circumvention

This section applies only to commercial introductions covered by a separately accepted agreement. Before Ally identifies or introduces a particular prospective worker, contractor, service provider, or other commercial counterparty for a fee, the purchasing business must expressly agree to the applicable introduction, placement, or engagement terms, including the fee or a clear method for calculating it. Merely browsing Ally, submitting a request, receiving an unsolicited recommendation, or viewing a public profile does not create a fee or non-circumvention obligation.

No fixed expiration; continuing protection. If a purchasing business expressly accepts such terms, it agrees in perpetuity, to the extent permitted by applicable law, not to knowingly circumvent Ally to avoid fees expressly agreed for a covered commercial engagement resulting from Ally's identified introduction. A “covered commercial engagement” means the hiring, placement, contracting, or paid services relationship directly attributable to that introduction, including its substantially continuous renewals, extensions, or successor arrangements for the same work. The business must not redirect that covered engagement to a different contract, payer, affiliated entity, or intermediary for the purpose of evading an agreed fee. The obligation to pay the specifically agreed fees has no automatic twelve-month cutoff and continues for as long as the covered engagement generates the compensation or payments to which those fees apply, including after an Ally account or general service agreement ends. A separate employer or commercial agreement must specify the fee, trigger, payment basis, and covered engagement before the introduction; these general Terms alone impose no unspecified fee.

This continuing payment obligation is tied to the identified, revenue-generating commercial relationship that Ally originated. It is not a permanent ban on direct communication, employment, competition, or independent commercial activity. Once the covered engagement ends, Ally does not automatically earn a fee on unrelated future dealings. The parties may communicate and work directly, subject to the fees they expressly agreed for the covered engagement.

This restriction does not apply to a documented pre-existing relationship, a counterparty independently identified without using Ally's protected introduction, an introduction that is not covered by an accepted paid agreement, or a relationship for which Ally gives written permission or a contractual conversion option. It does not apply to ordinary personal, social, or unpaid introductions. Ally does not prohibit workers from seeking or accepting lawful work or require workers to pay a placement fee through this section. Nothing here overrides applicable employment, competition, or consumer-protection laws.

Knowingly circumventing an expressly accepted commercial introduction agreement may constitute a material breach of contract, not automatically a crime. Any remedy is subject to applicable law and the signed or electronically accepted agreement, including its stated fees and any permitted recovery of provable losses. Ally does not impose an unstated conversion fee or automatic penalty under these general Terms.

Users are responsible for taxes, worker-classification requirements, licenses, permits, employment rules, export controls, sanctions, and other laws that may apply to their activities.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Ally to:

  • commit fraud, deception, harassment, discrimination, or other unlawful conduct;
  • seek, facilitate, or advertise illegal work, unlawful discrimination, exploitation, or unsafe activity;
  • scrape, reverse engineer, probe, overload, or interfere with the service or its security;
  • upload malware, stolen data, credentials, or material you do not have the right to use;
  • misrepresent compensation, qualifications, identity, authority, or the nature of an opportunity; or
  • use information obtained through Ally to spam, stalk, harass, or contact people in a manner they have not reasonably consented to.

7. Your content and our service

You retain ownership of information and content you submit. You give Ally a limited license to host, process, transform, summarize, analyze, and share that content as reasonably necessary to operate the service, find matches, make introductions, provide support, maintain safety, and improve the product.

You represent that you have the right to provide the content you submit. Do not submit confidential information belonging to someone else unless you are authorized to do so.

The Ally name, interface, software, branding, and other service materials remain the property of their respective owner or licensors.

8. Early beta

Ally is an early beta. Features may change, matches may be incomplete, and the service may contain errors or become unavailable. We may add, remove, pause, or modify features at any time.

No guarantee of outcome. Ally does not guarantee that you will receive a job, project, candidate, cofounder, customer, investment, grant, introduction, payment, or any other result.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ally is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or any particular result.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ally and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, business interruption, or harm arising from another user or third party.

Where applicable law does not permit a complete exclusion of liability, aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid directly to Ally for the service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100, except where a different limit is required by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using Ally at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse, legal or security reasons, or discontinuation of the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and obligations relating to prior transactions, will survive.

11. Ally SMS messaging

When you affirmatively opt in, the Ally SMS program may send recurring text messages about your conversations with Ally, goals you ask Ally to work on, potential matches or opportunities, and account or service activity. Message frequency varies based on your use of Ally and the updates relevant to your requests.

Message and data rates may apply. For help, reply HELP or visit https://allyfor.me. To stop receiving Ally texts, reply STOP at any time. After you opt out, Ally will not send further recurring SMS messages unless you opt in again.

Consent to receive Ally text messages is not a condition of purchase. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Your use of Ally SMS is also governed by our Privacy Policy, including the SMS privacy provisions described there.

12. Changes, disputes, and contact

We may update these Terms as the service changes. If a change is material, we may provide notice through the service or by another reasonable method. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

Before filing a legal claim relating to Ally, you agree to make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the issue informally with us, unless applicable law gives you a right that cannot be waived.

Questions about these Terms may be sent through the contact method provided within the Ally service or by replying to an email you receive from Ally. A dedicated legal contact address may be added as the project develops.
